What a blessing we have when we trust in God. In Ephesians Chapter 2, God tells us that we are a workmanship that He created in Christ Jesus for good works. We, who were once operating simply in the flesh, can be assured that God knows us and still chose us to be a part of Him. By grace, we have been saved through our faith.
We don’t walk in His grace by anything that we have done BUT through a gift that He gives to us freely. It doesn’t matter that we have not kept the 10 commandments or have sinned. God knows these things and still gives us this gift. We should not be boasting of the good things we have done, or the laws that we keep. Likewise, we also should not be pointing the finger at anyone we think is not following the 10 Commandments or following any laws of the Lord.
Relying on keeping commandments, giving or doing good works will not get us into the Kingdom of Heaven nor will it give us the things we need while on earth. God never intended us to be boastful nor does He ever want us to compare ourselves to one another.
Each of us has been purposely created. We are God’s workmanship. We were created in Christ for good works. To condemn the work of others or to say anyone, including ourselves, are unworthy of God would be saying that God made a mistake with His creation. There are demonic forces at work to keep us from meeting God’s intended potential. We need to stay mindful of this and continually get to know what we have gained in Christ through His death, resurrection and ascension to Heaven.
We should be helping others to understand that it is by the grace of God and our faith in Him that we can count ourselves worthy to be a part of the body of Christ. God will give us the words which we shall share when they are needed. You will be confident in this as you speak with God daily as you read scriptures.
The Helper, the Holy Spirit, has been sent to those of us who decide to repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. It is a gift of promise from God. (Acts 2) We just need to ask the Helper to give us insight, wisdom and understanding in what we are reading. We should also remain aware that there is a wealth of information in the scriptures and that more is revealed each time we read the scriptures.
You are a blessing chosen by God.
